Role Overview:
The Lead Developer will spearhead our development department, driving the creation and optimisation of websites and platforms for top-tier brands. As a strategic leader, you'll build and mentor a high-performing team while working on a diverse array of projects.
Your expertise in React, web optimisation, and development best practices will ensure the success of our initiatives. Familiarity with .NET and C# is advantageous, as is prior experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Build and lead the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Web Development: Create, enhance, and optimize websites, ensuring functionality, scalability, and a seamless user experience.
- Yext Pages Optimisation: Manage and optimize client Yext React-based pages for performance and user engagement.
- In-house Platform Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and maintain Sauce's proprietary platform.
- Technical Innovation: Stay ahead of trends in web development and introduce tools, frameworks, and best practices to enhance productivity.
- Project Delivery: Oversee project lifecycles, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables that exceed client expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in React and modern front-end development practices.
- Experience with web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with .NET and C# is a strong advantage.
- Previous Technical SEO experience is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of code quality, security standards, and performance optimisation.
- Proven track record of managing agency projects or working in a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in web development with a focus on leading teams and projects.
- Building and scaling solutions for high-profile clients in an agency or corporate setting.
- Familiarity with Yext or similar SEO optimisation tools.
